Two specialist fields: weaponry and space medicine. An interesting combination, don't you think?

Karl ... "parsimony" came to mind. I'm wondering, would a principled practitioner here invest resources in generating a random function? I haven't walked down this path in a long time, and it's tickling my brain.

If a simple mechanism was used (look up table) that resulted in arbitrary and sudden deviations ... rather than cycling of some sort (I remember troposcatter signal reflecting rainfall along the path) ... would that meet the need?

I have to find something to program!
:-)
