Charles v2.5 released
One month later and Charles v2.5 is tested and ready for release. There’s a massive list of changes, which should cover almost everything that has changed.
Please download and try out the new version. Please email me if you have any problems!

Awesome Karl! It seems to be indeed a big step’s in Charles evolution.
However, even though not a issue at all, Charles GUI seems outdated and I particulary don’t like the way the child window gets when you maximize it, it doesn’t integrate well with the parent window.
Keep up the good work.

Hi, great release!
Is there any chance that you will incorporate JSON deserializing (like Service Capture does) any time soon?

Hi Henrik,
Thanks for your comment. Yes indeed, I intend to add this feature and others similar in the very near future!

Hi Marcelo, sorry I missed your comment! Yes the GUI is a bit variable depending upon which look and feel you use. I actually primarily use the Metal (Swing) look and feel on Windows, as I find the Windows look and feel a bit inconsistent with the rest of windows - especially to do with the child windows!
My priority is back on functionality for a bit but I will definitely be considering any improvements I can make there soon.

I have released a new beta version of 2.5.1 this morning that includes preliminary JSON support. You can download it from http://xk72.com/charles/beta.php
I’d appreciate any feedback. What I am planning to add next is a REST/RPC view of XML and JSON data to support people developing using REST… This may end up being the main way in which people view the JSON data; it will be very similar to the JSON/AMF viewer, just including the request data as part of the display.
